Tree Planting at Melpachchar - unique experiment for watering the plants

 In the agricultural land at Melpachchar, Thriuvannamalai District - Planted in November 2016 - about 50 tree saplings of Varieties like Jack fruit tree, Poovarasu, Malai Vembu & rose wood were planted.

ONION BAGS BECOME DEW CONDENSERS

Uniqueness we did during the tree planting was we fixed a net, which is actually a netted bag used for bagging onions.

Holes in the bag ensured free movement of air & the net like structure ensured the morning dew (moisture) present during the rainy & winter months condensed on it to become a water source for the plants.
                                       
                                        Moisture condensation took place & naturally all the trees survived with moisture in the air condensed as water droplets on the bags.

 Bags gave protection from animal grazing too. So dual purpose of the bags achieved.
