In this Auscpicious day of Gudi padva & Ugadi - New year day of Marathis & Telugus 29th March 2017- Responsible Citizens iYakkam planted the 1st Pothu tree in Chennai, Tamilnadu. This tree was developed from the mother tree - a Poovarsau Maram (Potia tree ) in October 2016 in a cement bag with sand. For the last 6 months, this branch of the mother tree became another tree ( pothu ).
